FUTURO @ BFC welcomes Patrick Weir
A Manly United Junior since age 10, Pat hails from the Northern Beaches. He made his first-grade debut at age 18 before embarking on playing in Europe for over four years in Bosnia, Germany, and Northern Ireland.
Gaining a wealth of experience in different cultures and football ideas, Pat came back to Sydney, coached Premier League football, and is now at Sydney United where he coaches the U16s, assists the Under 18s and 20s programs, and leads the athletic performance strategy throughout the club.
Pat also started his Game Ready academy for players aged 7 to 13 and has developed more than sixty local Northern Beaches players into professional football at the NPL, A league youth, and national youth teams.
The Vision
Brookvale FC is a historic, traditional club on the Northern Beaches with a proud tradition of developing fantastic footballers. Pat’s focus at Brookie is to bring out the best in all our kids technically, physically, and mentally, creating excellent all-round footballers while supporting their personal development on and off the field.
A crucial goal is the development of Division 1 level teams that progress consistently through the club year-on-year to senior football. Of course, some players in our FUTURO programs will take the next step into Manly United, which is excellent for everyone. This vision is central to our long-term development of senior Premier League players at Brookvale FC.
My trusted head coach, Luca Cavalieri, will support me in running the FUTURO programs at Brookvale FC as I implement and develop the technical vision over the long term. We will also be offering skilled, intensive, and fun 2.5-hour clinics to all Brookvale FC registered players each school holiday!
