Match report shared by the ladybugs 24th May – send yours to futurobfc (at) gmail.com! Great game today, Bugs. Wow, the ladybugs were a force of nature. Let us just say a 1-0 victory takes us to five unbeaten games. Today, the scorer of the goal was the amazing Georgie! Using the arms of a deadly quarterback, with a throw-in that miraculously dribbled its way through the curl curl team and into the goal.💪 Our Ladybugs 🎈🎈of the day were:Mighty Maya, who had some real intelligence around the football match , reading the play, making good decisions and passing the ball beautifully. Our other Ladybug of the day was #Super Safi, who worked tirelessly and never gave up! Showing tenacity up the front and smart forward runs creating goal chances for herself and her teammates .So congratulations to them. 👏Everyone played a part in a great game,  I must say, we had a lot of chances. 23 shots on goal- to Curl, Curls 7. At one stage I heard the amassing crowd uttering the words “rapid fire”, and ‘peppering”! -special note-The  Curl Curl goalkeeper was amazing today, any other day we would have had 5 or more goals. With incredible shots from Eva, (one super-boot from just outside our own box, Pheobe-produced the shot of the game with Reika, Georgie, and Goldie cracking shots of quality. Both our goalies played well, Phoebe in the first half, and Goldie in the second. Cora, our defensive colossus read the fine print from the wardens playbook. Great game. And a special thanks 🙏 to Eva our former player who helped us win ,  💪Unfortunately she picked up an injury. We wish you a quick recovery. You are always welcome in our bug-life.

Double Victory for Brookvale FC at Kano Grassroots 7v7 Tournament! A huge congratulations to our Brookvale FC U10 and W10 Division 1 teams, who both competed in the Kano Grassroots 7v7 Tournament over the weekend. Under the guidance of our fabulous Director of Coaching, Patty, both teams displayed some outstanding football, remained undefeated throughout the tournament, and were crowned champions in their respective divisions! What an incredible achievement — well done to all the players, coaches, and supporters who made it happen and made us all proud. Go Brookie!🏆⚽️💪🔵⚽️

Our mighty W18s go top! Brookies W (for wonderful) 18s ladies have stormed to the top of the table in dramatic fashion after a sensational 4–3 victory over previously unbeaten Wakehurst on Friday night. Under the lights and with everything to play for, Brookvale came out firing, stunning the top-ranked visitors with a blistering opening that saw us surge to a deserved 3–0 lead. The crowd was buzzing as every one of our girls played with confidence, flair, and real determination. But Wakehurst weren’t about to go down without a fight. The visitors clawed their way back into the game, netting three quick goals in ten minutes to level the scores with just 5 minutes left on the clock. With nerves jangling and the game on a knife’s edge, Brookvale won a free kick just outside the box. Up stepped one of our amazing new recruits, Summer, who calmly unleashed an absolute rocket. 4–3 Brookvale, and pandemonium on the field, on the sidelines, and in pizza shops from Manly to Avalon! It was a match that had everything: drama, momentum swings, standout performances, and most importantly—a result that sees our W18s leapfrog Wakehurst to take pole position on the ladder. A huge congratulations to the players and coach Danny on a thrilling win that won’t soon be forgotten. Go you mighty Blazers! 23rd April, 2025 Our mighty U9 Blazers had a great day at the Northern Tigers Cup today and represented Brookvale FC and their wonderful sponsors really well.  Team Manager, Tamara, reports that there were some great games and strong competition and whilst we didn’t come away with the team silverware, we came 3rd in our group and narrowly lost the 5th place playoff in a tough close game that went to penalties!  The Tigers organisers were big fans of our kit too!

As we look ahead to 2025, we’re excited to share some updates to our FUTURO programs that reflect our ongoing commitment to providing the best opportunities for our players to grow and thrive. In 2025, our FUTURO sessions will be guided by Pat Weir and his exceptional coaching team, who bring a wealth of expertise and a fresh perspective to these intensive Monday sessions. While there will be some tweaks to align with Pat’s proven training templates, the core structure, location, and intent of past FUTURO sessions remain. We would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank Ivan, Vinnie, and the Elite Football team for their outstanding work in helping us launch FUTURO and making it the success it has grown into. Their dedication has been instrumental in building this program, and we are eternally grateful for their contributions. We are also thrilled to continue collaborating with Ivan in our FUTURO VELOCE program in 2025.
